Summary
I helped shape an AI-first experience for Smartcat’s multi-agent system, defining how agents communicate, clarify intent, guide users, and explain limitations. The new interaction model made complex platform capabilities easier to access by letting users express their goals in natural language instead of navigating rigid product flows.
Context
Smartcat is a complex B2B platform for translation and localization workflows, used by teams to manage content, projects, linguistic quality, terminology, and collaboration. As AI capabilities became a key competitive direction in the market, the company started transforming the existing platform into an AI-first experience built around a multi-agent system.
Goal
Our goal was to design a new interaction model for an AI-first product experience: one where agents could understand user intent, guide users through complex workflows, ask for missing information, explain limitations, and help users complete tasks with less friction.
